Unlock the art of Chinese calligraphy in our immersive workshop, where Franz Cheung, an expert Chinese calligrapher and painting artist, will teach you the graceful strokes needed to write the powerful character 龍 (dragon) in traditional Chinese script. It is like drawing, but with special and fancy writing.
Join us for an enchanting experience as you write your own Dragon of Fortune masterpiece, steeped in the rich symbolism of prosperity and good fortune. Take home with your own work to celebrate the arrival of the Year of the Dragon.
No Chinese calligraphy and painting experience required.
This workshop is intended for adults. Accompanied children aged 8+ are also welcome – bookings for children aged 8+ are required.
Ink, brushes and Chinese paper provided.

Visitor information
Children under the age of 11 should be supervised by someone over 18 at all times in the Library.
