Come along to this special documentary screening, The Dreamlife of Georgie Stone.

For Transgender Awareness Week, join us for a special screening of the heartening documentary, ‘The Dreamlife of Georgie Stone’.

Spanning 19 years, ‘The Dreamlife of Georgie Stone’ is a 29-minute documentary that reveals the memories of Georgie Stone, an Australian transgender teen as she helps change laws, affirms her gender, finds her voice and emerges into adulthood.

This film is rated PG. Children under the age of 11 must be supervised by an adult at all times in the Library.

Following the film screening, we invite conversation and reflection about the film and the experiences and perspectives of trans and gender diverse people.

Arrive from 5:30pm for a 6:00pm start.

Light refreshments and snacks to be provided.

This event is aimed at promoting visibility, awareness and inclusion of transgender and gender diverse people by uplifting their voices and experiences. We strive to create a safe space for discussion and learning. Harmful or disrespectful speech or behaviour will not be tolerated.
