Korean Craft Workshops

Attend any of these free workshops to experience old and new Korean craft through hands on experiences. Bookings essential.

Korean Weaving Workshop
11am to 12pm

Using straws from the natural environment, weaving crafts has played a significant role in many aspects of Korean culture. Not only used for the practical purpose but also used in arts and crafts that expressed the way Korea felt at the time. Artist Lee Kanglok tells the history of weaving crafts in Korean and participants will make a handmade Bokjori (lucky bag) with great pleasure. Free workshop, all materials provided.

Korean Leather Workshop: Tea Coaster Making
12pm to 2:30pm

In this fun, hands-on workshop with artist Ko Eunjin, participants will create their own stamped leather tea coaster with Korean patterns. All materials provided, free event.

2:30pm to 5pm

Hand sewing is such a practical and rewarding activity. In this fun hands-on workshop with artists Jeong Jeongsook, participants will learn how to put plenty of patterns and colours together to make a piece of runner. All materials provided, free event.
