Family Day Out with Vivid Sydney at Chatswood
This weekend is your last chance to experience Vivid Sydney at Chatswood, ending 13 June.
Here’s a day plan to make the most of your visit!
1pm-3pm: Start your day at the unique daytime installation at Chatswood Chase Sydney, the Luminarium, especially designed for children. Kids can dress up in special diving suits and helmets and enter the display as magical bioluminescent sea creatures come to life.
3pm-5.30pm: Enjoy a quick bite to eat and enjoy the shopping on offer at Chatswood Chase Sydney.
5.30pm: Step outside and enjoy the amazing Vivid Sydney lights throughout the Chatswood CBD.
Heading to The Concourse, be amazed by the futuristic 3D animations of prehistoric creatures playing across the façade. The mechanical dinosaur frames and Primordial Pond display have been a highlight for children of all ages.
6.30pm: Make your way towards Westfield for a yummy dinner at the Asian food court, Hawker Lane. Alternatively, sample cuisines from across the globe with food trucks set up on Anderson St below the retro animations playing high above - tag #DinoNights on Twitter to see your name up in the lights.
7.30pm: The next stop is Chatswood Mall, where the Stomping Ground display has proven very popular with children. Kids are enjoying chasing the reptilian creatures darting below their feet.
8pm: Onwards to Chatswood Interchange, where kids and adults can interact with prehistoric avian creatures. Make the birds fly high above with our pedal powered machines then get a birds’ eye view from the Bridge of Illusions display.
Chatswood Interchange also has a range of dinosaur themed activities in The District, including an augmented reality activity!
8.30pm: Time for dessert! Passion Tree next to the Bridge of Illusions has put together a special dinosaur dessert to celebrate Vivid Sydney at Chatswood.
The dining options are endless in Chatswood with world class food courts in Chatswood Chase Sydney, The District at Chatswood Interchange, and Hawker Lane at Westfield Chatswood. There’s also market stalls in Chatswood Mall and food trucks at Westfield on Anderson St.
