Connect, Collaborate and Celebrate - Art Competition and Exhibition

We are looking for artists 18+ to be part of Connect, Collaborate and Celebrate Art Competition and Exhibition for artists who have a disability.  This event will provide artists with an opportunity to showcase their creative talent and promote themselves and their artworks.

Willoughby City Council, in partnership with Ability Links Uniting, are holding an art competition for people living with a disability, experiencing social isolation or at risk of marginalization.  The themes being showcased during Social Inclusion week are: Connect, Collaborate and Celebrate.

The mediums submitted can include drawings, graphic art and paintings and be no bigger than 61cm x 61cm. Artists of all abilities are encouraged to submit a work. Works entered should reflect one of the themes Connect, Collaborate and Celebrate

The exhibition will run from 25 November to 3 December at the Dougherty Community Centre, 7 Victor St, Chatswood.  Winning entrants will be announced at an International Day of People with a Disability Day Morning Tea on Tuesday, 3 December at 11.00am in the Blend Cafe and Art Space within the Dougherty Centre.

The overall Winner will receive $100 Eckersley's Arts and Crafts voucher and offered the opportunity for a solo exhibition at the Dougherty Community Centre. The two (2) Highly Commended will receive a $50 Eckersley's Arts and Crafts voucher each.  All entrants will be presented a Certificate of Participation at the morning tea.
