Inspired: Magic and Mystery in Watercolour and Poetry

Daily  11am – 5pm (Extended hours)

An exhibition of watercolour painting by Catherine Madro

Catherine Madro presents an exhibition of watercolour paintings in response to the beauty and mystery experienced in life—nature, poetry, music and quiet moments of reflection are the artist’s inspiration. Madro’s style is influenced by an ancient Chinese method called Mo-Ku, that predates calligraphy and where many layers (or glazes) are applied to each painting. Her luminous approach to watercolour creates her subject matters of oceans, the night sky, lotus flowers and mythical creatures with mystical effect.
