Live at Lunch: Canticles of Ecstasy

Superb soprano Catherine Bouchier joins Artistic Director Jane Rutter and pianist Vincent Colagiuri to perform Canticles of Ecstasy – a feast of beautiful sacred music including Christmas Carols and diverse Ave Maria’s by beloved composers Hildgard von Bingen, Schubert, Gounod, Caccini, Fauré & Saint-Saëns.

Ms Bouchier replaces Miss Taryn Fiebig who has withdrawn from the concert for personal reasons.

Ms Rutter said she was excited to welcome Ms Bouchier: “Catherine is an exceptional talent who performs regularly with Opera Australia and has performed around the globe including at the Royal Albert Hall and with Diva Opera. I know she will be well received and adored by the audience in this final Live at Lunch concert of the year.”

Ms Rutter is a Chevalière des Arts et Lettres (French Knight) and Ms Bouchier has French ancestry.

“France has long had a love affair with the voice, and with our French connections and heritage, Ms Bouchier and I perform beautifully together – the flute and voice together are a treat. A highly regarded young soloist in her own right, this will be the second time Ms Bouchier has stepped in at late notice for Live at Lunch. I am sure she will perform as superbly as she did last year when the audience went nuts for her!” Ms Rutter said.
